| Objective:To systematically evaluate the safety, efficacy of robotic gastrectomy(RG)for gastric cancer. Methods:The literature in both Chinese and English regarding studies comparing RG and laparoscopic gastrectomy(LG)published between 2000 and January 8th,2017 were searched from PubMed,Medline,Cochrane labrary,Embase,SPRINGER,Elsevier,Web of Science,VIP,Wan Fang,CNKI,CBM databases.Meta-analysis was performed by using RevMan 5.2 soft ware.Results:17 studies were included in the analysis, comprising 5,787 patients,of whom 1,676 cases underwent RG(RG group)and 4,111 cases underwent LG(LG group).RG was associated with a younger age(WMD=,2.24,95%CI[-3.58,-0.89],P<0.05),longer operative time(WMD=43.51,95%CI[34.14,52.88],P<0.05),lower estimated blood loss(WMD=-30.17,95%CI[-42.83,-17.51],P<0.05),greater number of harvested lymph nodes(WMD=1.95,95%CI[0.07,3.84],P<0.05)and shorter time of oral intake(WMD=-0.22,95%CI[-0.32,-0.12],P<0.05).The postoperative hospital stay, proximal and distal margin, postoperative complications,R0 ratio, conversion rate, death rate and 3 year OS are similar between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion:RG is safe and feasible in treatment of gastric cancer, and can achieve comparable or better effect than LG. |
