ObjectiveThis study was to establish a three-dimensional finite element model of the mandible under the restoration of moderate periodontitis complete dentition crown, and to compare the distribution of stress in the periodontal ligament after repair of the crown of the sleeve crown,The repair of the periodontal splint provides a laboratory basis.MethodsThe experimental methods are as follows:1?Establish finite element pattern of normal mandibule with complete dentition, periodontal membrane and alveolar bone to analyze stress distribution of healthy periodontium.2?Establish finite element pattern of madibular with complete dentition under moderateperiodontitis,to analyze stress distribution of abnormal periodontium and tell the differences between the normal and abnormal.3?Establish finite element pattern of madibular with complete dentition dentured by TRPDs(telescopic crown retained partial dentures),analyze stress distribution of periodontium and tell the differenceswith undentured pattern,to provide reference in clinical.ResultsThe results are as follows:1?It is feasible to establish a complete mandibular model based onCBCT,Anatomically realistic. The finite element analysis showed that the stressof periodontal ligament was consistent with previous studies.2?The Von Mises stress values of the periodontal ligament in patients with moderate periodontitis and crown restoration were increased in different degrees, and the stress amplitude was different. The Von stress values of the periodontal ligament after the crown restoration were smaller than those of Mises,Compared with the periodontitis model, the stress increase of the periodontal ligament was much lower than that of the model, and the relative decline was about 12.55%~102.66%.3?The restoration of the periodontal ligament was reduced by the crown restoration, and most of the stress was transferred to the alveolar bone.the Von Mises teeth periodontitis corresponding to the maximum stress decreased about 31.3 MPa Von Mises, mandibular maximum stress is reduced,about4.99 MPa;The sleeve crown teeth and mandibular alveolar bone Von Mises maximum stress relative periodontitis model, the teeth of the Von Mises maximum stress decreased about 25.6 MPa,and the mandibular alveolar bone Von Mises maximum stress increased about 6.51 MPa.The Von stress of the teeth after crown restoration was relative to moderate periodontitis with a stress drop of about 8.04%,and the stress of the Von stress in the mandibular alveolar bone after the crown restoration was moderately increased by about14.21%.compared with that of MisesConclusionsThis experiment can be summarized in the following three points:1?Based on CBCT,it is feasible to establish a complete mandibular model, and the model has good reliability, which can meet the needs of adjustment and analysis.2?Conclusion: the sleeve crown periodontal splint can effectively reduce the adverse stress of moderate periodontitis, which is beneficial to reduce the influence of occlusal trauma on periodontitis, and is beneficial to the long-term treatment and maintenance of periodontitis.3?Judging from the perspective of biomechanics of moderate periodontitis using the finite element method, telescopic crown analysis is of great help in mechanics simulation, can provide better theoretical guidance for the clinical research of moderate or severe periodontitis treatment, providing a valuable scientific basis for future clinical dental restoration surgery.
