Object:This paper observes and compares the effects of whole-body vibration training with the same amplitude progressive frequency and that of elastic bandaged +balance pad training on functional ankle instability patients’ proprioception, balance ability and muscle strength, which aims on testing whether the whole-body vibration training with the same amplitude progressive frequency works for functional ankle instability patients. At the same time, this paper compares the curative effect of two kinds of training methods. The paper explores the mechanism, which is how the whole-body vibration training with the same amplitude progressive frequency works on functional ankle instability. Methods:In this paper, the researcher has adopted the randomized controlled trial. The researcher firstly openly recruits functional ankle instability patients in Chengdu Sports University and then choses thirty males who are suffering from unilateral functional ankle instability from within. These chosen thirty male patients then were divided into experimental group and control group randomly. The experiment group has taken the whole-body vibration training with the same amplitude progressive frequency rehabilitation method.Meanwhile, the control group has taken the most commonly used clinical rehabilitation method. Each group members’ weights, bilateral ankle joints’ flexor and extensor strength, inversion and eversion myodynamia, proprioception, balance ability have been noted and evaluated both before and after they have been trained for two weeks, four weeks, six weeks and eight weeks. All the collected data has been analyzed after the experiment.Results:1.The Cumberland ankle instability evaluation questionnaire grades, topesthesia, biped stability index, and single led stability index of the experiment group and thecontrolled group have both improved significantly(p<0.05)after the training. But eight weeks later, there is no significantly statistical difference between the two groups(p>0.05).2.There is no significant difference in the relative peak torque of inversion, eversion, flexion and extension belonging to bilateral ankle joints of the experiment group and uninjured ankle joints of the controlled group before and after the training(p>0.05).After eight weeks, there is significant difference in the relative peak torque of inversion, eversion, flexion and extension between the experiment group affected side and the controlled group’s.Conclusions:1.The whole-body vibration training with the same amplitude progressive frequency and the elastic bandaged + balance pad training on the functional ankle instability are effective.2.The whole-body vibration training with the same amplitude progressive frequency rehabilitation can improve the status of patients with functional ankle instability condition by increasing their bilateral ankles’ symptoms, balance stability and proprioception.3.The elastic bandaged + balance pad training rehabilitation method can improve the status of patients with functional ankle instability condition by increasing not only balance stability and proprioception of their bilateral ankles, but also myodynamia of their affected side.4.Both the whole-body vibration training with the same amplitude progressive frequency and the elastic bandaged + balance pad training can be practiced as the common rehabilitation method of functional ankle instability. But compared with the elastic bandaged + balance pad training, the former rehabilitation method is more time-saving and convenient. If the whole-body vibration training with the same amplitude progressive frequency can use with some strength training,it should be highly recommended. |
