Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy and value of percutaneous minimally invasive suture in treating acute closed Achilles tendon rupture through medium to long term follow up.Method: we retrospectively followed 33 patients diagnosed with acute closed Achilles tendon rupture, who were admitted from 2012.9-2017.1.mean time follow up2.02(3months-5years),we followed them both with outpatient and telephon,we observed the conditons of incision,function,re-rupture,evaluating postoperative effects through AOFAS scale. Results: we lost 4 follow ups, follow up time3months-5years,meantime2.02 years.no symptoms of DVT were occurred to all patients,no sensation abnormality in gastrocnemius nerve area,no complications of abnormal incision healing, infection, necrosis etc, occurred. No re-rupture of the Achilles tendon occurred during follow up.with medium to long follow up,patients were treated with nice ankle shape, nice function recovery, efficacy were assessed as : 11 patients with follow up time of 3months to 1 year, mean AOFAS scale:92.63,4patients with good efficacy,4with moderate efficacy, the qualified rate is72.7%.22 patients were followed more than 1 year, mean AOFAS scale:96.33%.19 patients with good efficacy,2with moderate efficacy, the qualified rate is95.5%.Conclusion: percutaneous minimally invasive suture is comparatively a good way in treating acute closed Achilles tendon rupture, with less medium to long term complication rate, good shape reconstruction, good function recovery. |
