Effects Of 25-Gauge+ Vitrectomy Combined With Lucentis In The Treatment Of Diabetic Retinopathy

Objective: To study effects of 25-gauge+ vitrectomy combined with lucentis drugs in the treatment of diabetic retinopathy(DR).Methods:29 eyes of 29 patients with DR were involved in this study.All patients received intravitreal injection of lucentis(0.5 mg)was carried out on affected eyes before the surgery.After 3 days,patients underwent vitrectomy and panretinal photocoagulation operation.Then,eyesight(corrected vision)of patients before surgeries,1 months after surgeries,3 months after surgeries and6 months after surgeries,macular retinal thickness,operative time,coagulation times and complications were to be observed.Results:The average preoperative logMAR eyesight of all patients was2.32±0.93,The average postoperative logMAR eyesight of all patients was 1.14± 0.94,the difference was statistically significant(t=6.02,P=0.000<0.01).Compared with the average preoperative logMAR eyesight,the averagepostoperative logMAR eyesight was improved.And proliferation level was more important.The average preoperative macular retinal thickness of 17 patients was322.60±30.34μm,The average postoperative macular retinal thickness of all patients was 253.20±15.54μm,the difference was statistically significant(t=6.84,P=0.000<0.01).Compared with the average preoperative macular retinal thickness,the average postoperative macular retinal thickness was lessener.The average operation time of all patients was 42.45±15.33 minutes and proliferation level was more important.The average preoperative intraocular pressure of all patients was 14.18±3.43 mmHg,The average postoperative intraocular pressure of all patients was 13.39±2.90 mmHg.There were 4 patients with intraocular hypertension in a short time.The average coagulation times of all patients was2.10±0.65 and hemorrhage level was more important.The average latrogenic hiatus of all patients was 0.59±0.29 and proliferation level was more important.There were no serious complications in all patients.Conclusion: For patients with diabetic retinopathy who need to undergo operation,the use of 25-gauge+ vitrectomy combined with lucentis,is an effective therapeutic method.
