Objective:To observe the effect of contact force-sensing catheter in catheter ablation of atrial fibrillationMethods: From May 2015 to May 2016 during the cardiovascular department of Wannan Medical College Hospital Affiliated yijishan Hospital of fifty nine patients who underwent catheter ablation of AF patients as the research object. The patients were divided into two groups by random number method.Using contact force-sensing catheter(Smart Touch,ST)as ST ablation group,a total of 32 cases, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation in 29 cases, persistent atrial fibrillation in 3 cases;Using normal saline infusion catheter ablation as a routine ablation group, there were 27 cases, paroxysmal atrial fibrillation in 25 cases, persistent atrial fibrillation in 2 cases. The patients were followed up for 6-12 months after catheter ablation, operation time, ablation time,X-ray exposure time,X-ray exposure, single coil isolation rate of pulmonary vein, number of ablation patch points, the incidence and recurrence rate of complications compared between ST ablation and routine ablation group. Results:The routine ablation group and ST ablation group in gender, age, body mass index, duration of atrial fibrillation, atrial fibrillation type, comorbidities,LAEDD and LVEF,the differences had no statistical significance(P > 0.05);ST ablation group ofpatients with operation time, ablation time,X-ray exposure time,X-ray exposure were lower than the routine ablation group, the difference had statistically significant(128.0± 23.4VS168.4 ± 24.0;51.3 ± 12.1VS80.6 ± 19.8;14.2 ± 3.6VS23.5 ± 5.9;230.1 ±51.0VS315.0±69.0,P<0.05);ST ablation group of patients with left pulmonary vein single coil isolation rate, right pulmonary vein single coil isolation rate were higher than the routine ablation group;the number of left pulmonary vein ablation patch points and the number of right pulmonary vein ablation patch points were lower than the routine ablation group, the difference had statistically significant(80.0%VS55.6%;85.0%VS59.3%;1.3 ±0.6VS2.8 ± 1.5;0.8 ± 0.4VS1.5 ± 0.7,P < 0.05);ST ablation group,a total of 2 patients had subcutaneous hematoma following catheter ablation; The routine ablation group,a total of 7 patients had operative complications in catheter ablation and postoperative including 4 cases of patients with subcutaneous hematoma,1cases of patients with esophageal edema,2 cases of patients with pericardial tamponade, after conservative treatment of internal medicine were cured and discharged. After using the Fisher,s Exact Test shows that the incidence of surgical complications in patients with ST ablation group was lower than that in routine ablation group, but the difference was not statistically significant(6.3%VS25.9%,P>0.05).During the follow-up period, the seizure duration was great than or equal to 30 s rapid atrial arrhythmia patients in ST ablation group consisted of 3 cases, routine ablation group in 8 cases,of which 5patients underwent second catheter ablation surgery,3 patients were given conservative treatment of anti arrhythmic drugs. The data were analyzed using the Chi-square test showed that the recurrence rate of ST ablation group was lower than that of routine ablation group, the difference was statistically significant(9.4%vs29.6%,P < 0.05)Conclusion:The use of a contact force-sensing catheter in atrial fibrillation catheter ablation can help the operator to better control the adhesion between the catheter and the myocardial tissue,to improve the success rate of pulmonary vein single coilisolation and reduce the number of ablation patch points,so then effectively shorten the operation time, ablation time,X-ray exposure time and reduce X-ray exposure,it can also effectively reduce the recurrence rate after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation,so it has high value in clinical application.
