Objective To investigate the effects of the low frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(LF-rTMS)combined with acupuncture on upper limb dysfunction on patients after stroke.Method 60 patients suffering from upper limb dysfunction were selected to conduct the research and were divided into three groups(acupuncture group,rTMS group and combined therapy group)at random, patients from the acupuncture group were given acupuncture with conventional rehabilitation.specifically,rTMS group in the contralateral hemisphere upper limb motor area were given 1hz rTMS treatment, where M1 area(upper extremity motor function of cerebral motor cortex)of contralateral hemisphere is simulated, combined therapy group were given lhz rTMS treatment on the basis of the treatment. The scores of simple FAM and WMF before the treatment,4 weeks after the treatment were used to evaluate the upper limb movement function recovery. Results rTMS group group patients with upper limb FMA score and WMFT score:(4.65±1.66).(7.45±2.63)and(0.85±1.57).(10.05±4.02)points respectively, acupuncture group patients with upper limb FMA score and WMFT score:(4.45±0.89).(5.80±1.74)and(0.6±1.23)、(6.75±2.07)points respectively, combined therapy group patients with upper limb FMA score and WMFT score:(4.60±0.75)、and WMFT score of combined therapy group patients of the three groups were all increase, and the difference was statistically significant.comparison between groups,WMFT score were significantly greater than the acupuncture group after the treatment.however,FMA score were not better than acupuncture group.the FMA score and WMFT score of combined therapy group patients were significantly greater than the acupuncture group and rTMS group, and the difference was statistically significant. Conclusions Acupuncture with lhz transcranial magnetic stimulation can significantly improve the upper limb movement function on the hemiplegic side after stroke.
