Background and Objective:Ultrasound with lymph node biopsy had become a significant preoperative assessment of axillary, which determined the follow-up treatment of patients. The aim of this study was to evaluate the sensitivity of ultrasound with or without biopsy, accounting for the false negative.Method:A retrospective study documented 440 patients between January 2015 and June 2016 hospitalized in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University.Collect the personal information and medical records.1)Analyze sensitivity and specificity of physical examination, ultrasound, core needle biopsy and axillary ultrasound with biopsy.2)Evaluate the false negative of ultrasound with or without biopsy.Result:In this study, the sensitivity and specificity of physical examination were 19.7%and 97.5%.The sensitivity and specificity of ultrasound were 42.6%and 90%.The sensitivity and specificity of CNB were 87.2%and 100%.The sensitivity of ultrasound combined with biopsy was 40.2%,and the specificity was 100%.According to the result of univariate analysis, lymph node size, positive ALN number, histological grade,ER,PR and molecular classification were related.Multivariate analysis showed that 2 positive or less ALN resulted in the false negative.Conclusions:1-2 axillary metastatic lymph nodes was more prone to the false negative of AUSB.With ultrasound and AUSB,a group of positive axillary lymph node patients could be spared unnecessary SLNB.Although there was a certain false negative,AUSB was still an important assessment of axillary staging.
