Objective: To investigate the clinical effectiveness of Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids(PPH)in the treatment of outlet obstructive constipation caused by moderate to severe rectocele.Methods: 48 patients(age ranged 41 ~ 65 years,mean 58.2±5.5years)which with moderate to severe rectocele,all of them treated with Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids(PPH).Followed up for 4~6 months.Compared and analyzed the parameters from rectoanal manometry before and after operation.Results: 40 patients after surgery with loose stool 1~2 times a day,others under 1 time.Sense of defecation obstruction of 46 patients is improved obviously,other 2 patients is improved mildly.And there is no statistical significance in the change of rectum resting pressure,anal1 resting pressure and various rectal sensitivity(P﹥0.05),however,The decrease of inside rectal pressure and residual anal pressure have statistical significance(P﹤0.05).Conclusions:The subjective defecation feeling of postoperative patients with PPH is unblock.Objective results of rectoanal manometry improved clearly.The function of rectum and anal canal restore significantly.
