Objective:Through a case report of two-stage treatment of Class Ⅲ malocclusion,we analysis the change of dental arch,maxilla,mandible and profile,also we study the timing and methods of treatment for Class Ⅲ malocclusion,thus providing reference to clinical treatment.Materials and methods:A 12-year and 5-month old,female patient was referred for treatment in January 2014,with the cheif complaint of teeth crowding.The patient has no family history.Clinical examination revealed molars in Class Ⅲ relationship and obvious concave profile.The treatment plan is two-phase treatment that the first phase is maxillary protraction and RPE and the second phase is edgewise orthodontic treatment using concept of Tweed and J hook.Results:After treatment,all the teeth were aligned with normal overbite and slight deep overjet.Molar and canine relationship were neutral.SNA,SNB,ANB were normal and profile has been improved.Conclusion:Through two-stage treatment of Class Ⅲ malocclusion,we found that maxillary and mandibular relationship are normal and profile was improved.
