Objective: To discuss the value of applying 3D pelvic floor ultrasound in researching, diagnosis and assessment of healing efficacy on patients of pelvic organ prolapse. To obtain the characters of levator hiatus from normal and organ prolapse women(before and after the operation)by 3D pelvic floor ultrasound. To discuss the method of obtaining accurate pictures and data by 3D pelvic floor ultrasound and diagnosis organ prolapse in the early period.Simultaneously to discuss the value of 3D pelvic floor ultrasound in diagnosis and therapies of organ prolapse. Methods: Choose 106 patients who came to our hospital from Feb.2014 to Feb.2016 from outpatient service and in-patient department.Divide them into two groups: the observed group(patients with POP)and the contrasted group(normal nonporous females).Scan the pelvic floor with 2D and 3D ultrasound and achieve the pictures and data of the pelvic floor.Contrast the data of different groups. Results: The contrasted group(normal nonporous females): The front pubic bone is strictly connected with the back puborectal muscle forming a bilaterally symmetric diamond structure. In the middle, through the pelvic diaphragm hiatus, the urethra, the vagina and rectum arranged in rhombic symmetrical, integrated shape form. The menopausal patients with POP group: the puborecatal muscle were not asymmetry anymore.Instead it becomes thinner, broken and torose. The levator hiatus is not a bilaterally symmetric diamond structure anymore. The urethra, the vagina and rectum are not in the middle line as normal mode when valsalva mode was taken. The “H” mode of the vagina was vanished. And it is substituted by the torous organs. The area of the levator hiatus of patients with pelvic purleps(20.64±2.57),(18.32±2.77),(25.33±3.05)are much larger than the area of normal nonporous females(12.52±2.42),(10.35±1.41),(13.71±3.89).The data of the two groups are obviously different statistically. The area(18.05±3.65),(16.01±3.04)of the 41 patients after the pelvic operation decreased obviously. The data before and after the operation are obviously different statistically. Conclusion: The structure of the levator hiatus and the organs in the levators can be clearly displayed by 3D ultrasound. The 3D ultrasound is a kind of useful method of medical imaging in the observation of the pelvic floor. It can provide more plentiful 3D images and diagnosis foundations for the diagnosis, treatment and assessment of healing efficacy. It has important value and clinical value.
