As we all know,cancer metastasis is the primary cause of death for cancer patients.At present,the main method to cure cancer is chemotherapy.With the development of clinical medicine,there are more and more anticancer drugs being developed.However,using the biological method to screen the carcinogen and anti-cancer drug took a long evaluated period and cost a lot.How to screen and evaluate the carcinogen and anticancer drug more effectively is the key part of cancer research.With the rapid development of electronic technology,there are more and more researchers combining the electronic technology and biological technology to monitor and analyze the physiological characteristics of cells.The study of measuring a cell and tissue on biological sensing chip directly has been gradually developed.The cell sensing chip was based on the microfluidics chip and cell impedimetric measurement technique.It can monitor the cellular characteristics such as cell migration,cell adhesion and apoptosis.On the theoretical part,based on the equivalent circuit of the attached cells on the electrodes,the electrophysiological properties of the cells after applying the AC voltage through the cells was discussed.Then,a cell-electrode model by finite element software COMSOL was built.A detailed analysis of the cellular frequency characteristics were provided as a theoretical support for the experiment.On the experimental part,a cellular sensing chip has been developed for to quantitatively monitor the cell migration activity based on the impedimetric measurement technique.The sensing chip was built through microelectronic process technology.It integrated the functional elements such as micro-chip,micro-reaction chamber,micro-channel,microfluidic control system and microelectrodes on a substrate with a few square centimeters.In this work,an objective and quantitative migration rate was calculated by the cellular sensing chip.Then,we applied the cellular sensing chip for drug sensitive test.The results proved that this cellular sensing chip can quickly and accurately react to the drug.This technique has high potential to be developed to a powerful analytical platform for cancer research.
