Retrospective Analysis On The Characteristics Of Amyopathic Dermatomyositis And Classic Dermatomyositis

ObjectiveTo explore the different characteristics of Amyopathic dermatomyositis(ADM)and Classic dermatomyositis(CDM).MethodsThis is a retrospective study.49 patients including 10 cases of ADM and 39 cases of CDM who were admitted to the second affiliated hospital of Zhejiang university school of medicine from January 1st,2004 to January 1st,2015 were analyzed.ResultsThe incidence of interstitial lung disease and malignancy was significantly higher in ADM group than that in CDM group,Some clinical symptoms(including muscle weakness,cough,sputum production,chest distress and fever)and laboratory examinations(including CEA,other tumor markers)were significantly different between two groups,the P values were less than 0.05.ADM showed higher mortality than CDM,the rates were 10%and 0 respectively,the P values were less than 0.05.However the levels of antinuclear antibody and CRP were comparable between two groups,the P values were greater than 0.05.ConclusionsCompared with CDM,ADM has higher incidence of interstitial lung disease and malignancy.ADM showed higher mortality than CDM.
