| Objective To discuss the clinical features of mucoepidermoid lung tumors.Method One case was selected from the files of the Department of Oncology,Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital of Zhejiang University in 2017.Combined with other 6 cases selected from literature,there were altogether 7 cases collected and their clinical data were analyzed retrospectively.Results Median age was 40 years old,age range from 6-71 years old,57%of patients were adults.2 patients were 6 years old.1 patient aged 22.Of the 7 cases,5 were males and 2 were females.In the group there are 5 cases with accurate mass size records,the average maximum diameter was 3.0 cm.Used immunohistochemical indicators are:TTF-1,napsin A,p40 and p63,all of the cases have positive p63,and negative TTF-1 and napsin A.All seven patients had no smoking history and could generally infer that smoking was not a risk factor for mucoepidermoid lung tumors.Conclusion Mucoepidermoid lung tumors has no specific clinical manifestations,however most patients can present with cough,hemoptysis.,dyspnea,chest pain.Preoperative diagnosis is difficult,diagnosis by FNA can lead to a diagnosis of adenocarcinoma,and the diagnosis can be confirmed by surgery.Surgery is the main method of treatment of this disease.Prognosis of patients undergoing radical surgery can be significantly better than the others who are not surgery candidates. |
