Morus alba L.,which belongs to the genus Morus of Moracea,is one of the traditional herbal medicines.Its root bark,branch,leaf,and fruit can be used as medicines.This genus contains a variety of phenolic compounds including Diels-Alder adduct compounds,isoprenylated flavonoids,2-arylbenzopyrans and alkaloids.Modern medical studies of Morus alba have reported antioxidant,anti-diabetic,anti-hypertensive,antiviral,and anti-inflammatory effects.The systematic phytochemical study on Folium Mori and Ramulus Mori yielded fifty-eight compounds.Thirty-five compounds were isolated from Folium Mori,and the structures were elucidated as wittifuran X(1),3’,5’-dimethoxy wittifuran Y(2),wittifuran Y(3),wittifuran Z(4),5-hydroxyethyl moracin M(5),moracin E(16),moracin I(17),moracin M(18),moracin N(19),moracin X(20),moracin C(21),moracin D(22),moracin V(23),morusyunnansin I(6a,6b),morusyunnansin H(7a,7b),morusyunnansin J(8),morusyunnansin K(9),morusyunnansin L(10),morusyunnansin M(11),morusyunnansin N(12),(2S)-7,2’-dihydroxy-4’-methoxy-8-prenylflavan(13),(2S)-2’,4’-dihydroxy-7-methoxy-8-prenylflavan(14),2’,4’-dihydroxy-7-methoxy-8-hydroxyethylflavan(15),morachalcone A(24),isobavaehaleone(25),2’,4’.4,2"-tetrahydroxy-3’-[3"-methylbut-3"-enyl]-chalcone(26),2,4,2’,4’-tetrahydroxychalcone(27),euchrenone a7(28),morin(29),kaempferol(30),norartoearpetin(31),diisobutyl phthalate(32),dibutyl phthalate(33),loliolide(34),9,16-dioxo-10,12,14-octadecatrienoic acid(35).Compounds 1-12 were new compounds.The cytotoxic activity was screened by using MTT assay,and the results showed that compounds 13,18,21,30 were toxic to A549 and NCI-H292 cells on different levels.Twenty-three compounds were obtained from Ramulus Mori,including moracin P(36),wittifuran V(37),moracin M-3’-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(38),mornigrol E(39),mornigrol F(40),kuwanon C(41),2,3-trans-dihydromorin(42),2,3-cis-Dihydromorin(43),7-hydroxycoumarin(44),scopoletin(45),isoscopoletin(46),2,5-dimethoxy-1,4-benzenedicarboxaldehyde(47),2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde(48),p-hydroxybenzaldehyde(49),vanillin(50),syringaldehyde(51),syringic acid(52),2,5-dihydroxy-benzoate(53),trans-p-coumaric acid(54),3-(4-ethoxyphenyl)-2-propenoic acid(55),adipic acid(56),p-sitosterol(57),2,4-hexadienedioic acid(58). |
