ObjectiveThrough a retrospective analysis of clinical data and Syndrome differentiation of traditional Chinese medicine and treatment of vertigo patients,to explore the clinical characteristics of patients with vertigo and traditional Chinese medicine,to provide a basis for the treatment of vertigo.MethodsBased on the research progress of TCM diagnosis and treatment of vertigo,555 cases of vertigo inpatients were retrospectively analyzed by SPSS19.0.The clinical data,syndrome differentiation and treatment were analyzed retrospectively in 555 cases of encephalopathy four families in Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Results1.Clinical features:The male and female ratio of 1:1.41 hospitalized patients with vertigo,women accounted for a relatively large.Onset in patients over 40 age more,accounted for 95.50%.The shortest duration of 0.5 hours,the longe,st for 30 years.Merge hypertension 281 cases(50.81%),a total of 71 patients with diabetes mellitus(12.79%),merger,a total of 73 cases of coronary heart disease(13.150%),merging 58 cases(10.45%)and cerebrovascular disease combined ear source sex disease(1.08%),6 cases with other diseases,a total of 27 cases(4.86%),no merger disease 187 cases(33.69%).2.The distribution of TCM syndromes:555 cases of vertigo patients included in the distribution of Chinese medicine syndromes up to the wind sputum on the card,phlegm blocking card,the cumulative percentage reached 85.04%.There was no significant difference in the distribution of TCM syndromes in different sexes(P=0.1395).And there was no difference in the distribution of syndromes of wind phlegm syndrome(P=0.3951).The distribution of TCM syndromes in different age groups was different(P=0.0038).Wind sputum on the distribution of interference in all age groups are more,especially in the 41-60 age group is more common in the age of the proportion of 77.44%;but kidney essence deficiency,phlegm resistance Older patients(61-75 years,76-90 years)are more common.3.Traditional Chinese medicine treatment:The most used prescription for Ban Xia Baizhu Tianma Tang,the percentage reached 78.02%.The most used proprietary Chinese medicines were Er Shi Wu Wei Shan Hu Wan and Quan Tianma Jiao Nang,reaching 84.50%and 70.45%respectively.The most characteristic Chinese medicine therapy was acupoint therapy,acupuncture and moxibustion,which reached 91.71%and 85.41%respectively.4.Distribution of disease diagnosis of Western medicine:the corresponding western medicine disease is most common in the vertebral basilar artery insufficiency(VBI),cerebral arteriosclerosis,benign paroxysmal positional vertigo(BPPV),the cumulative percentage reached 77.12%5.The relationship between the common diagnosis of Western medicine and TCM syndromes in VBI,cerebral arteriosclerosis,BPPV of the three different diseases in TCM syndrome type distribution difference(P=0.0000);the three diseases are wind phlegm syndrome is the most common;VBI and cerebral arteriosclerosis,cerebral arteriosclerosis(P=0.0000)and BPPV(P=0.0043)there is significant difference in the distribution of syndrome of wind phlegm syndromes in the distribution of BPPV in VBI,but with the wind phlegm syndrome type of no significant difference(P=0.1938).6.Hospitalization days:9.36 days,the average length of stay in patients with vertigo,VBI,cerebral arteriosclerosis,BPPV hospital days of no difference(P=0.4267).7.Outcome:the vast majority of hospitalized patients with vertigo patients discharged in good condition,"cured" and "improved" the number of patients reached 551,the cumulative percentage of 99.82%.Conclusion1.The Wind phlegm syndrome is a common syndrome type in patients with vertigo in different gender and age.2.Banxia Baishu Tianma Tang is a commonly used prescription for clinical treatment of vertigo.3.Vertigo commonly correspond to western medicine diagnosis of VBI,cerebral arteriosclerosis,BPPV common TCM syndrome type for the wind phlegm syndrome.4.The general treatment of hospitalized patients with vertigo effect is good,and the prognosis is good.
