In recent years, activators and inhibitors associated to adenosine receptor have been widely used clinically as effective medicines in the therapy of some diseases such as cancer, pain, thrombosis, cerebral ischemia and so on. Their excellent bioactivities make their research a hot topic in related areas. Meanwhile, pharmacological research revealed that MRS2339, a kind of (N)-bicyclo [3.1.0] hexane derivative, can acts as a P2X receptor agonist. It reduces cardiacmyocyte hypertrophy and enhances survival when administered in a mouse model of heart failure. According to the statistical data, the annual mortality rate of NYHAIV (severe heart failure) was high up to 50%, while its 5 years survival rate is also lower than most of the malignant tumor. Therefore, from both academic and practical points of view, the development of drugs for treating heart failure is an urgent task, In this paper, D-ribose was employed as starting material in the synthesis of a(N)-bicyclo [3.1.0] hexane derivative MRS2339. The improvement in its synthetic process might afford useful information for the synthesis of related bioactive derivatives in further research. |
