Objective: By comparing the guangxi zhuang adult non-contact ACL injury patients and healthy people between the femoral condyle of width,TO assess the relationship between the risk of suffering a first-time noncontact ACL injury and geometry of the femoral intercondylar notch in the guangxi zhuang adults.Method:forty-nine noncontact ACL patients whose clinical history met the inclusion criteria were included as the experiment group.Another 49 healthy adults were set as the control group,MRI was used to measure the notch width index(NWI).The T2-weighted coronal image was used in each patient to measure femoral bicondylar width(BCW)and intercondylar notch width(NW)at the level of the popliteal groove in the lateral condyle of the femoral, the NWI was calculated by dividing the NW by BCW.Analyzed The related parameters.Results:1.There were no significant differences between two groups in gender(P>0.05),height(P>0.05)and age(P>0.05).2.The NW of study group was 17.80±1.15 mm and 18.73±1.09 mm in control group. The BCW of study group was 74.49±2.49 mm and 74.94±2.97 mm in control group. The NWI of study group was 0.239±0.015 and 0.250±0.016 in control group. There was a statisti-cally significant differences in NW,NWI between study group and control group(P<0.05),while there was no significant differences in BCW between two groups(P>0.05).3.The NW of study group males was17.38±1.00 mm and 18.32±1.13 mm in study group females. The BCW of study group males was 74.18±2.50 mm and 74.87±2.48 mm in study group females. The NWI of study group males was 0.234±0.012 and 0.244±0.016 in study group females. There was a statistically significant differences in NW,NWI in study group males and females(P<0.05),while there was no significant differences in BCW in study group males and females(P>0.05).4.The NW of study group males was 17.38±1.00 mm and 18.72±1.04 mm in control group males. The BCW of study group males was 74.18±2.50 mm and74.52±3.30 mm in control group males. The NWI of study group males was0.234±0.012 and 0.251±0.015 in control group males. There was a statistically significant differences in NW,NWI between study group males and control group males(P<0.05),while there was no significant differences in BCW between two groups(P>0.05).5.The NW of study group females was18.32±1.13 mm and 18.81±1.16 mm in control group females. The BCW of study group females was 74.87±2.48 mm and 75.38±2.57 mm in control group females. The NWI of study group females was 0.25±0.02 and0.249±0.017 in control group females.there was no significant differences in BCW,NW,NWI between two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions: 1.Intercondylar notch width of ACL-injured group was lower, and narrow intercondylar notch dimensions appeared to be a risk factor for ACL injury in the guangxi zhuang adults.2.Intercondylar notch width of ACL-injured group males was lower than study group females in the guangxi zhuang adults, males are more likely to an ACL injury.3.the Narrow intercondylar notch dimensions appeared to be a risk factor for ACL injury in the guangxi zhuang males, and the females is not.
