Objective To analyze the clinical data of 200 childhood patients with vitiligo, to generalize the clinical characteristics and to discuss the treatment of childhood vitiligo.Methods The clinical data of 200 childhood(under the age of 14) vitiligo was collected in Dermatology Department of the General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from 2010 to 2015. The clinical characteristics of childhood vitiligo were find out by statistical analysis with their sex, age, family history, morbidity reason, treatment and so on. 60 cases of topical vitiligo patients were randomly divided into two groups. The first group patients were treated by NB-UVB and halide betamethasone ointment. The second group patients were treated by NB-UVB and 0.03% tacrolimus ointment. Then compared the efficacy and safety between two groups by different treatment.Results(1) In 200 patients, there was no significant difference in the incidence of vitiligo between male and female. The difference of average age of morbidity was closely connected with family history. The morbidity age in positive family history children were obviously earlier than the negative family history children(t=2.13,p<0.05).(2) The first morbidity season was more common in spring and summer. Trauma was the main cause in childhood vitiligo. The patients were more accompanied with chronic tonsillitis,chronic urticaria and eczema.(3) There were 195 cases of vulgaris vitiligo in200 childhood vitiligo, including102 cases of topical type, 60 cases of spadic type, 26 cases of genera type and 7 cases of acral centiginous type. But segmental type were only 5 cases. In 200 childhood patients, there were 111 progressive vitiligo and 89 stability vitiligo.(4) 60 cases of topical vitiligo patients were divided into two groups, every group was 30 cases. The first group were treated by NB-UVB and halide betamethasone ointment for three to six months, and the second group were treated with NB-UVB and 0.03% tacrolimus ointment for three to six months. The cure rate was no significant difference.Conclusion(1) Comparing with adults vitiligo, there were some unique in cause, family history and concomitant disease in childhood vitiligo.(2) For the treatment of topical childhood vitiligo, the result of two methods were same secure and effective.
