Pur pose:1. Attem pt to apply em powerment education to tuberculosis Patients with s putum smear positive cultures, and gain an understanding of its influence on their psychological stress and anxiety, social support and self-efficacy level.2. Understand the role of em Powerment education in achieving negative s putum cultures from tuberculosis patients.3. Understand the use of a new education model, in order to provide clinical evidence for the a pplication of em powerment education in tuberculosis patients with s Putum Smear positive cultures; as well as providing theoretical evidence for furthering a pplication of empowerment education in China.Method : Using convenience sam pling, this research divided tuberculosis patients with s putum smear positive cultures in- patients during 01/07/2015 to 01/02/2016 in Haihe Hos pital into general education group and em powerment education grou p.Patients from both grou ps received sufficient education regarding turberculosis. Em powerment education group received em powerment education: Using the five-step method, Patients received five sessions of one-on-one em powerment education;General education group received one-sided simple instructions during daily nursing care instead of one-on-one sessions. The the researcher used questionnaires to investigate the result. General information questionnaire, social support and self-efficacy questionnaire,Psychological stress questionnaire, anxiety self-assessment questionnaire to investigate and compare the difference in psychological stress, anxiety,social support and self-efficacy level of tuberculosis Patients with sputum smear positive cultures after health education, Two groups of patients were interviewed at one month, there month, and six months to anxiety,stress status and self-efficacy of follow-up post discharge. Both groups patients one month after discharge were interviewed in the level of social su r port, follow-up every month with tele phone and comparison, so as to provide theoretical basis for clinical nursing health education.Result: Tuberculosis patients with sputum Smear positive cultures have different levels of anxiety and stress. And patients from both groups have lower than average social surpport and self-efficacy. After receiving health education during hos pitalization, it is revealed that both education models hel P alleviate anxiety and stress, as well as im Proving social support and self-efficacy. The group that received em powerment education showed significantly greater im provement in terms of reduced anxiety and stress level, and im Proved social support and self-efficacy.Compared to general education group. The em powerment education group also showed high negative sputum culture rate than general education group.Conclusion: To assign to education theory as the instruction of em powerment education pattern through one-on-one health education, Help identify patients with psychological problems, analyze and discuss with the patient.Make smear- positive tuberculosis patients self management plan and other steps to gradually improve the patient’s psychological state, encourage and help.Patients with their own goals,help patients im proved level of social support.Improve their self-efficacy. These steps can in turn contribute to im proved rehabilitation. To provide theoretical basis for clinical. Health education mode not as good as "the best". They have their own advantages and disadvantages, This requires educators in the Process of health education, according to patients’ cultural level, accepting ability and the educators themselves conditions to choose the approriate health education mode, Ensure the health education effect of TB Patients achieve ideal state.
