Objective : Voice fatigue test analysis, self-assessment, laryngoscopy and related research in patients with voice disorder before and after surgery.Methods: The related patients with voice disorders were tested pre- and post- operatively, which included three parts, voice fatigue test analysis, self-assessment, and laryngoscopy. Voice analysis software called “Xion” was used in voice fatigue test analysis for voice samples of the patients to measure the failure rate during different periods which is called voice fatigue index, mean value sound pressure level(MVSPL) and mean value fundamental frequency(MVF0). Voice disturbance index(VHI) Scale Chinese version was used in self-assessment, including functional F, physiological P, emotion E, the sum denoted by T. Each part contains 10 questions and the score is from 0 to 4,which separately represents never, rarely, sometimes, often, always. The score of each part of the content is in the range of 0~40, and the total score is in the range of 0~120 Laryngoscopic examination was done to observe the closure of vocal cord of the patients, denoted by C,-1 means closed uncompletely, 1 means closed completely.Results: The failure rate during different periods(voice fatigue index), mean value sound pressure level(MVSPL)and mean value fundamental frequency(MVF0) have a good correlation among three parameters in voice fatigue test analysis, while F, P, T have a good correlation with each other in VHI scale, except E. The voice fatigue index, MVSPL and MVF0 in voice fatigue test analysis have a good correlation with F, P, T except E, in VHI scale. The degree of closure of vocal cord C have a good correlation with voice fatigue test analysis parameters voice fatigue index, MVSPL, MVF0 as well as the VHI parameter, F, P, T except E. All the analysis was done with Pearson correlation test.Conclusion: Voice fatigue test as objective detection analysis evaluates the voice quality of female patients who are in the occupations need to use voice frequently, and assessment of surgical treatment objectively. Chinese version of VHI Scale is based on the subjective feelings of the patients with voice disorder, by which self-evaluate the life effect of voice disease. Laryngoscopy provides an excellent morphological evidence. Consistent performance of those three aspects plays an important role in comprehensive assessment of voice disorder.
