The System Evaluation For The Treatment Of Acute Bacterial Dysentery In Children By TCM And Chinese And Western Medicine

As the improvement of sanitary conditions in recent years,the incidence of bacillary dysentery is significantly lower in children than before,however,with the emergence of new serotype of dysentery bacillus and the more and more side effects in antibiotic treatment,we get to know the advantages in the treatment of bacillary dysentery in TCM.Trough arranging previous articles we found that there are a mass of clinical research reports,but most of them are about clinical curative effect observation,and less to summarize the treatment of the disease in TCM.This study evaluates the curative effect of TCM in the treatment with acute bacterial dysentery in children based on evidence-based medicine and epidemiological methods scientifically,objectively and systematically,further illustrate the advantage of TCM in the treatment of acute bacterial dysentery in children,and lay foundation for optimization of TCM diagnosis and treatment plan in acute bacterial dysentery in children.Objective:1.Collect,sort and evaluate the randomized controlled literature research on the treatment of acute bacterial dysentery in children in TCM and traditional Chinese and western medicine at present to understand the state of the treatment of acute bacterial dysentery in TCM and have certain guiding significance to the clinical.2.By analyzing the quality of related papers on the treatment for acute bacterial dysentery in children by TCM or Chinese and western medicine and evaluating the curative effect of TCM systematically,We can find and analyze the problems and insufficiency in the treatment of acute diarrhea for the clinical treatment of TCM,especially provide the methodological clues and ideas,and further promote the inheritance and development of TCM.Methods: We had strict selection criteria and got the target papers from the database by using the combination of network retrieval and manual retrieval,then we got 2 tables:《 The quality assessment and information collection table of the acute bacterial dysentery in the treatment of children by TCM》 and 《The individual data collection table of the acutebacterial dysentery》,finally We did Meta analysis for the literature meeting the conditions.Results: We finally screen out 28 papers according to the strict in and out standards,the results are as follows:1.Quality assessment:(1)Basic situation: The majority of papers are not reported in core journals,and lack of fund support,and lack of large sample multicenter study.(2)Methodological aspects: We researched 28 randomized papers.24 papers did not describe the random method of allocation,and only 1 article described that,3 articles were not strictly randomized trials but according to the doctor order or the hospital sequence.23 papers had a western medicine diagnosis,26 papers had no clear diagnostic criteria of TCM.19 papers had clear and right inclusion criterion,and only 2 papers set up reasonable and clear exclusion standard.No paper estimated the contents of the sample,measured the patients’ compliance,illustrated the hidden distribution,or adopted blind method.Only 1 article is 3 points scored by Jadad scale,the rest is 1 point or 0 point,showing that the vast majority of literature quality level is low.(3)Statistical aspects :All studies were processed statistically and 23 papers gave concrete test statistics and P value range.(4)Safety evaluation: Only 1 article reported side effects in detail,2 articles mentioned no adverse reaction,the rest of the 25 report did not mention any adverse reaction.2.Meta-analysis: Except the curative effect of 3 studies were not clear,and the contral of an article was not clear enough,a total of 25 studies were into the Meta analysis,and the results shown: the treatment by TCM and the treatment by Chinese and western medicine were superior to the treatment by pure western medicine.But because the overall quality of literature is low,to a large extent it affected the reliability of the Meta analysis results.Conclusion:1.The quality of literature research results show that the amount of literature which about the treatment of acute bacterial dysentery in TCM and traditional Chinese and western medicine is too little on the whole,and the quality is not satisfactory.2.Designing and widely promoting a suitable quality evaluation system for curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine is an essential condition of Chinese medicine to the international stage.
