Purpose: To explore the effect of acupuncture at acupoint and combined acupoints on antral Interstitial Cells of Cajal(ICC)in diabetic gastroparesis model rats. Methods: 60 Sprague Dawley male rats were randomly divided into normal group, diabetic gastroparesis model rats group(model group),domperidone group, acupuncture at singal and combined acupoints an CV12,ST36,ST36+CV12,10 rats in each group. The rats were intraperitoneally injected with steptozotocin to make mouse model of diabetic gastroparesis.Treatments for each group were taken last for 5 weeks. And than, the numbers of ICC were detected by immunohistochemical methods. Results:After treatment, compared with normal group,Compared with normal group the number of ICC in model group were significantly reduced(P<0.01).Compared with model group, the indexes in Domperidone group(P<0.01)态acupuncture at ST36 and CV12 group(P<0.05),ST36+CV12 group(P<0.01)were improved significantly.Besides, the indexe of acupuncture at ST36+CV12 group was increased remarkably than ST36(P<0.05),CV12(P<0.01).Conclusion:Acupuncture could improve the numbers of antral Interstitial Cells of Cajal in diabetic gastroparesis model rats, acupuncture at combined acupoints was better than singal acupoint.
