Clinical Observation On Postherpetic-neuralgia Treated By Fire-needle Therapy

Purpose:This topic through a randomized controlled trial method to divide the postherpetic neuralgia patients into the Fire Needle Treatment Group and the Pricking-cupping Bloodletting Method Control Group.Observing the differences of the clinical efficacy on the patients,verifying the clinical efficacy of Fire Needle treating better than the other,establish the benefit in clinical acupuncture therapy.Method:Divide the 60 cases of PHN patients who met the inclusion criteria into two groups through random controlled way,the Fire Needle Group and the Pricking-cupping Bloodletting Group.Fire needle group:prick the Ashi points by Fire Needle multiply and fastly,then prick the ipsilateral corresponding Jia-ji points.Once time every other day,one week for a course of treatment.Observing the clinical efficacy after continuous treatment of 2 courses.The Pricking-cupping Bloodletting Group is pricking the local Ashi points many times fastly with a three edged needle,pulling the cuppings on the skin quickly,leaving cans 10 min.Once time every other day,one week for a course of treatment.Observing the clinical efficacy after continuous treatment of 2 courses.VAS scores before and after the treatment was observed to evaluate the efficacy of pain index.Record analgesic onset time,before and after the sleep time,to evaluate the sleep efficiency.Result:Pain assessment compared to pre-treatment,the two of their respective VAS score after treatment compared with before treatment were significant1 y different(P<0.O5);the two groups after treatment compared to treatment group VAS score was significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05);the time of the pain started to ease of treatment group is significantly shorter than the control group,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.O5).And the sleeping qualify of treatment group is higher than the other group,the difference is statistically significant(P<0.O5).Conclusion:Fire Needle is effective and safe on treating the postherpetic neuralgia.However,more evidence on validity of the study is still needed.Fire needle treatment can significantly improve pain and sleep in patients with postherpetic neuralgia.Safety and operability are strong and analgesic effect is very good.Patient satisfaction is high.It has advantags in the treatment,so it has the selective priority.
