Clinical Observation Of 30 Cases Of Recurrent Aphthous Ulcer Treated With NanoSigma Oral Gel

Purpose: This study was focus on the patients who were clinical confirmed with recurrent aphthous ulcers using NanoSigma oral gel.Basing on the pain index observed at different times,we evaluate the effect of pain relief of NanoSigma oral gel.Methods: 30 patients visited our hospital from Aug.2012 to Apr.2014 and clinical confirmed as recurrent aphthous ulcers.They are 14 of men and 16 of female with the age from 20~75.All patients came with different level of tingling,mucosal congestion,erosion,ulceration and other symptoms and signs.After the education of oral hygiene and oral cleaning to the patients,NanoSigma oral gel was applied to the patients by the resin of oral cavity.VISUAL ANALOG SCALE combined with WongBaker faces pain rating scale to record the pain indexes at 1 minute,1 hour,2 hours,3 hours and 4 hours.The paired t-test statistical analysis software of SPSS13.0 was used to assess the data.Results: All of 30 patients were pain relief after using NanoSigma oral gel.The average pain indexes of before and after using NanoSigma oral gel are 8.17±0.699 at TO,1.67±0.547 at T1,2.33±1.373 at T60,2.83±1.206 at T120,3.30±1.208 at T180 and 3.80±1.324 at T240.For the group of men only,female only and overall,the paired ttest to shows the pain indexes are obvious lower comparing the pain index before and after using NanoSigma oral gel at different time.It is statistically significant difference(p<0.05).Conclusion: NanoSigma oral gel could relief the pain for the patients with recurrent aphthous ulcer in the short time,therefore,it can be recommended to the patients for symptom treatment clinically.
