| Objective:(1)To determine the accuracy of volumetric analysis of the mandibular condyle using cone-beam computed tomography(CBCT).(2)Using CBCT scanning computer-assisted imaging technology for the quantitative measurement analysis of adult patients with mandibular deviation, and compared with normal adult group,to explore morphologcal characteristics of bilateral mandibular condylar of adults patients with mandibular deviation for providing theoretical support to clinical diagnosis,treatment.Methods:(1)CBCT scanning was performed in 9 dry mandibular condyle.Mimics15.0software was used for three-dimensional reconstruction and volume measurements on imaging data. Each sample was measured three times in 2 weeks by three researchers.Using the method of suspension as the standard for measuring the actual physical volume of condyle, the samples were measured. The accuracy of the CBCT volume measurements and the relation agreements between the results of the three observers were assessed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank text and intraclass correlation coefficient.(2)Ten adults(20-30 Y,5 males,5 females)with mandibular deviation were selected as experiment group from the Department of oral and maxillofacial surgery of stomatological hospital affiliated Nanchang University.Ten adults(20-30 Y,5 males,5 females)with normal occlusion were selected as control group at the same time. All the research object underwent CBCT scan and the data were reconstructed by Mimics15.0 software.the volume of the left and right mandibular condyle were measured, and the condylar asymmetry index was calculated. All the data was repeated twice times by the same researcher, and an average was applied.SPSS22.0 software was used for statistical analysis, and the data were tested for normality.Adult patients with mandibular deviation skewed dataand non-dada skew side lateral condylar condyle paired t-test analysis of bilateral condylar whether there are differences. The asymmetry index of bilateral condylar in the experimental group and the control group were compared by independent sample t test. The level of significance was set to 0.05.Results:1.The results of ICC showed that there were highly significant positive correlations between the observers,measurements.2.According to the results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test comparing the physical and observer, measurements, there were no statistically significant differences(P>0.05).3.In the experimental group, the volume of the lateral condyle of the mandibular deviation patients was larger than that of the oblique side, and there was significant difference(P<0.05).4.There was no significant difference in the volume of bilateral mandibular condyle in the normal control group.(P>0.05)5.The condylar volume asymmetry index of the experimental group was significantly bigger than this of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.CBCT permits imaging of mandibular condyle in three planes and allows for reliable volume estimates.2.The adults with symmetrical faces and without joint symptoms have symmetrical condyle.3.Subjects with mandibular deviation have asymmetrical condyles. |
