The Clinical Study Of Silver Needles And BushenQiangDuZhiLou Decoction On Ankylosing Spondylitis

Objective: In this study,we focused on the silver needle combined with Bushen Qiang Du Zhi Lou Decoction to treat the period of fiber stiffness in patients with AS of dysfunction in the hip and spine and how effective to improve the situation.According to the Standard of clinical effect assessment of AS and statistical analysis assess the clinical therapeutic effectiveness of the treatment for the period of fiber stiffness in patients with AS of dysfunction in the hip and spine.Method: From January 2013 to January 2015,collected outpatient and orthopedic rehabilitation,s inpatients in Guangxi Orthopaedic hospital who have required the complete clinical data of 32 cases of AS in first-diagnosed,but 2 patients was lost in the follow-up,So it is 30 cases(male: 25,female: 5)who were included in this study.After explained the 3 treatment options in detail,the clinic doctor and the director of the Department of rehabilitation will program to the patient’s needs.The 30 patients are divided into 3 groups for treatment.Group A is cured for endotherapy and external treatment(The silver needles and Bushen Qiang Du Zhi Lou Decoction).Group B is only dealt with external treatment(just silver needles).Group C is merely treated with endotherapy(just Bushen Qiang Du Zhi Lou Decoction).Result: There are no significant differences in the three groups of AS patients’ age and sex,disease course and the severity of the disease before treatment.When this is the case,data collected within a study should be comparable.Paired t-test suggests that there is significant difference in the improvement in the symptoms and signs(such as TCM symptoms score,BASFI,BASDAI,BASMI,hip joint activity index score)of the patients before and after treatment in the each group(P < 0.05).It proves that the 3 types of treatments are effective for AS.In addition,variance analysis and rank sum test prompted that group A is better than the other two groups in the observed indexes which are significantly improved(P < 0.05).Treatment of effects in group A is better than group B and group C but curative effects in group B is quite those in group C.There are no significant differences in clinical effects between group B and group C(P > 0.05).It is confirmed that the three treatments for the period of fiber stiffness in patients with AS are extremely effective,but group A is cured for endotherapy and external treatment for AS which is better than the other two groups.Accordingly,silver needle combined with Bushen Qiang Du Decoction may be effectively alleviating the clinical symptoms of the fiber tetanic period in patients with AS.Conclusions: The combination of endotherapy and external treatment in the TCM is not only simply added together two kinds of therapy,but also innovated the treatment concept.There are 3 characteristics in the therapy such as: acupuncture,moxibustion and herbal.Orally-taken herbal balancing the internal homeostasis and acupuncture dredging the channels and collaterals in vitro,those are complementary to each other.Flexibly using TCM to improve the life quality of AS patients and reduce the disability rate,which has obvious advantages.The combination of endotherapy and external treatments in the TCM using for the fiber tetanic period in patients with AS can delay the progression of the disease,provide new ideas and methods for the treatment of AS.
