| Objective:in order to make the oregano quality more controllable, more advanced standards, establish and perfect the quality standard of oregano.Methods:the control China "Pharmacopoeia"(2010version) on to the original plant identification, and the characters were described; stem leaves of oregano and powder microscopic identification; TLC; extracts of oregano, water ethanol extract and petroleum ether extract of Chinese chemical constituents of pre experiment; content determination of acid rosemary with HPLC, including linear relation test, precision test, stability test, precision test, recovery test, durability test, content determination.Results:The contents of impurities, moisture, ash, sour insoluble ash should not exceed2.0%,10.0%,10.0%,2.5%. the water extract, alcohol extract of Origanum may contain volatile oil, organic acids, phenols, tannins, sugars, amino acids, peptides, proteins, flavone. coumarin, lactone, plant sterols, triterpene compounds three, does not contain alkaloids, cardiac glycosides and other components; rosemary acid content in not oregano less than0.9%of the content of volatile oil is low.Conclusion:the content of rosmarinic acid origanum volatile oil of not less than0.9%; not included in the scope of draft.
