Carrying out the farmland soil monitoring is not only the indispensable and important methods to improve the soil quality and strengthen the management of cultivated land quality, but also the important foundation to ensure the food production capacity, keep the sustainable development of agriculture, and promote the development of circular economy and construction of ecological agriculture. The regions of this study were located in Shenhu village(Hill-plain area),Xiqing village(Plain-plain area)and Youjia village(Hill-hill area),Shengzhou County,Zhejiang Province,China. In this study,we firstly investigated the fertilization habits of the local residents, and then tested the basic fertility of paddy soils.Furthermore, the nutrient content of paddy soil and the yield of rice under different fertilization treatments were monitored for 5 years,in order to study the effects of different fertilization methods on paddy soil nutritionand rice yield.Compared to the treatment of CK(no fertilization),the treatments of T1(conventional fertilization),T2(formula fertilization by soil testing only involving pure chemical fertilizer)and T3(formula fertilization by soil testing involving pure chemical fertilizer and organic fertilizer)could significantly increase the storages of soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available phosphorus, and rapidly available potassium in plough borizon(020 cm),as well as the rice yield. The storages of soil organic matter, total nitrogen, available phosphorus, and rapidly available potassium in plough borazon and the yield of rice were generally decreased as following order:T3>T2>T1>CK.During different years in our study sites, the soil organic matter content, total nitrogen content, available phosphorus content, rapidly available potassium content and the rice yield under the treatment of T3(formula fertilization by soil testing involving pure chemical fertilizer and organic fertilizer)are 26.934.2 g kg–1(average:29.52 g kg–1),1.822.64 g kg–1(average:2.18 g kg–1),5.5022.2 mg kg–1(average:11.8 mg kg–1),19.0116 mg kg–1(average:78.3 mg kg–1)and 490660kg/acre(average:582 kg/acre),respectively.With the increase in fertilization years from 2012 to 2016,the soil fertility and rice yield were not continuously increased under different treatment, but showed a trend of first gradual increase and then general decrease(or flatten).Furthermore, with the increase in fertilization years, the ratio of grain/straw showed a gradually declining tendency, indicating that the efficiency of different fertilization methods on straw yield is higher than that on rice yield with the increase in fertilization years. In conclusion, our study indicates that the fertilization method of T3 is a more effective choice than T1 and T2,in order to significantly increase the paddy soil nutritionand rice yield. Therefore,in the future agricultural production practices,it is of great significance for the sustainable development of agriculture to popularize the fertilization method of formula fertilization by soil testing involving pure chemical fertilizer and organic fertilizer.
