Soil erosion is one of the most common and persistent natural disasters,which is called "creeping disaster".The red soil hilly area of South China has a high vegetation coverage and many types,which is not only one of the most potential areas for agricultural production in China,but also one of the most ecologically fragile areas.The red soil erosion area in South China has become a serious soil erosion area only in the Loess Plateau.Severe soil erosion limits the development of industry and agriculture in red soil region of South China.Serious soil erosion in hilly red soil region,steep slope,poor soil fertility,low resistance to corrosion,in the rainy period,the vegetation once destroyed and long-term irrational human activities,which would aggravate the degree of soil erosion and soil erosion control difficulty increases.As a new type of super absorbent polymer materials,applied to the soil with water,soil and fertilizer effect,the application of water retaining agent in southern red soil erosion area of soil erosion process,fertilizer efficiency of soil and water conservation of the play,in order to provide a new method and basis for soil erosion in red soil region cure.Changting County of Fujian province in southern red soil erosion area representative as the research object,with Voight retaining agent as the tested materials,the red soil in Changting area to carry out the effect of polymer materials on red soil slope soil moisture,soil structure,runoff and sediment,plant growth,explore the aquasorb in soil erosion in the south the water conservation benefit.And the following conclusions are drawn:1 Water retaining agent as a new polymer material has good water absorption and water retention effect.The smaller the particle size of water retaining agent,the greater the water absorption rate,the faster the water absorption rate and the faster the water release rate.The bigger the particle size,the better the water retaining effect.Under the action of high speed centrifugation,the water retaining agent with larger particle size is less affected.The water absorption of water retaining agent has timeliness.In the process of water absorption,the water absorption rate decreases gradually in the near saturation period,and the water release rate decreases with time.2 Water retaining agent can significantly improve the physical structure of soil.After adding water retaining agent in red soil,the soil bulk density was reduced,the distribution ratio of soil aggregate and soil water content were increased,and the evaporation of soil moisture was restrained.Different dosage achieved different results.Granite red soil fertilizer SAP decreased soil bulk density,and with the increase of the dosage of water retaining agent,bulk density decreased;water contents increased in 0.25mm soil aggregates in red soil,especially to increase the aggregate content of 1mm soil is evident;sap significantly increased with the increase of soil moisture,moisture increased a large proportion of aggregate distribution and soil water retention agent,inhibiting evaporation evaporation decreases more obvious.3 Water retaining agent significantly reduced sediment runoff.Application of water retaining agent on granite red soil slope can reduce runoff,sediment yield and delay runoff time.The mixed application method fully mixed the water retaining agent and the surface soil,which played a good role in soil and water conservation.In different rainfall intensity on soil erosion effects of different rainfall intensity,the greater the erosion intensity,soil water holding agent applied reduces the influence of rainfall intensity on soil erosion.As a kind of water absorbing gel,water retaining agent played a role of protective film after expanding,absorbing water,reducing runoff and sediment yield on slope surface,reducing splash erosion force of rain intensity to slope surface,and playing the role of soil conservation.4 Water retaining agent can increase the growth rate of Pinus massoniana seedlings.In different periods of Pinus massoniana seedling growth rate,played by SAP with different doses of benefits are also different,its have investigated 0.1%dry soil proportion benefit larger,faster growth rate of Pinus massoniana seedlings.
