In this paper, the forest health evaluation index system was established by using the combined weighting method which is combined with the analytic hierarchy process and the entropy method in the Pinus tabulaeformis forest, the Larix principis-rupprechtii forest and the Betula platphylla forest in the Wangyedian Forest Farm,Chifeng City,Inner Mongolia. The paper analyzed the influence of close-to-nature management on the forest health of the three forests, which could provide the scientific basis for the choice of the management mode of the healthy forest in North China. The results are as follows:(1)The order of the forest productivity values was:no management>general management>close-to-nature management and no management had significant differences between close-to-nature management and no management(P<0.01).(2)The order of the forest community structure values was:close-to-nature management>general management>no management, and there were significant differences between close-to-nature management and no management(P<0.01).(3)The order of the forest resistance values was:close-to-nature management>general management>no management.Close-to-nature had highest score, and there were significant differences among the three modes of operation(P<0.01).(4)Forest health index under close-to-nature management>that of general management>that of no management. The proportion of the forest healthy under close-to-nature management, general management and no management in health, good health and health excellent health level was 95.83%,66.67%and 79.17%.Based on the above conclusions, the forest health index under close-to-nature management is higher than general management.no management. It shows that moderate disturbance can have a healthier forest.
