Marmoset(Callitrichidae) is a precious small primate laboratory animals. The advantages of Marmoset are: small size, high reproduction rate, low using amount of medication, and quite similar to the human disease emergency physiological reaction. Based on the above advantages, Marmosets have been widely used in Zoology, Genesiology, Pharmacology and the like. Numerous and complicated causes can lead to diarrheal disease of Marmosets, with bacteria pathogens the most common. Pathogenic bacteria infection will lead to weight loss, malnutrition, reproductive rates Decline and even death. While the health of marmosets is closely related to the reliability of experimental investigation results. In recent years, large-scale use of antibiotics result in an increasing of both species and amounts of drug-resistant strains, which brings heavy difficult for clinical treatment. Therefore, making accurate and early judgments with pathogens causing marmoset diarrhea, Effective prevention and treatment measures became essential keys to controlling this disease. In this study, stool samples from 50 diarrhea marmosets feeding in Experimental Animal Center of Tianjin during March 2014 to August 2014. Simultaneously, correlational studies about important pathogens of diarrhea in marmosets were investigated. Test results are as follows:1、Conventional microbiological diagnosis was taken to isolation and identify the diarrheal stool samples from 50 diarrhea marmosets. Microscopically, the isolated bacterium was blunt ends of short rod-shaped or rod-shaped, scattered or arranged in pairs, Gram-negative bacteria. The primers were designed according to the sequence of bacteria 16 Sr RNA,and the colony PCR was conducted to the suspected bacteria. The results of PCR achieved 1500 bp band. sequencing analysis results showed that: 99%, 99.0% and 99.5% homologous sequence with Escherichia Coli,Salmonella and Shigella respectively.2、The results of biochemical identification showed that:17 of 50 stool samples were caused by Pathogenic bacteria infection and the infection rate reaching 34% of diarrheal disease. 7 samples were infected by E. col, 2 samples were infected by E. col and Salmonella, the infection rate was 18%; 5 samples were infected by salmonella, 2 samples were infected by E. col and Salmonella, the infection rate was 14%; 3 samples were infected by Shigella, the infection rate was 6%. The description of identifiable results illustrated that bacterial diarrhea is more common wherein the high prevalence of E. coli, Salmonella center, Shigella infection minimum.3、For isolated 17 pathogens serological test results showed that the E. coli serotype were O7 and O8,Salmonella serotype was O2, Shigella serotype was Shigella dysenteryⅠtype.4、Disk diffusion method for susceptibility testing of isolated pathogensin were detected using 11 kinds of antibiotics, the results showed that the Escherichia O7 type was highly sensitive to ciprofloxacin and gentamicin; Escherichia spp O78 type was highly sensitive to kanamycin and ciprofloxacin; Salmonella O2 type was highly sensitive togentamicin, ampicillin, ciprofloxacin, and spectinomycin; Shigella dysentery typeⅠwas highly sensitive to ofloxacin, kanamycin, kanamycin and spectinomycin. The high-sensitive drugs for sick marmoset, combined with the specific control measures to improve the marmoset feeding and management regimes to achieve ideal results.
