| The trial was conducted to study the effects of surfactin on the growth performance and serum biochemical indices of weanling piglets. Two hundred weanling piglets with an average body weight of(8.80±0.31)kg were randomly divided into 5 groups with 4 replicates per group and 10 piglets per replicate.Piglets were fed 5 experimental diets containing different levels of AMI,which were 0(control group),50(surfactin Ⅰ),100(surfactin Ⅱ),150 mg/kg(surfactin Ⅲ)and 55 mg/kg kitasamycin, respectively. The trial period was 28 days. The results showed as follows: 1)Compared with control group, the final body weight, averagy daily gain, andaverage daily feed intake in surfactin Ⅱ group and kitasamycin supplementation group weresignificantly increased(P<0.05),and diarrhea rate was significantly decreased(P<0.05).The the final body weight, averagy daily gain, and average daily feed intake were firstly increased and then decreased with the dietary surfactin level increasing, and the maximum of the final body weight, averagy daily gain, and average daily feed intake wereall found in surfactin Ⅱ group.Compared with surfactin Ⅲ group,The diarrhea rate in surfactin Ⅰ group, surfactin Ⅱ group and kitasamycin supplementation group were significantly decreased(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in F/G and SR of weanling piglets among all treatment groups(P>0.05).The F/G was firstly decreased and then increased with the dietary surfactin level increasing, the minimum of lipase was found in surfactin Ⅱ group.2)Compared with control group, the level of blood urea nitrogen in surfactin supplementation groups and kitasamycin supplemental group were significantly decreased(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the content of glutamic-oxalacetic transaminease and glutamic-pyruvic transaminase among all treatment groups(P>0.05).Levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol were significantly decreased by surfactin supplementation(P<0.05),the levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol were significantly increased in surfactin Ⅰ group and surfactin Ⅱ group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in acid phosphatase and alkaline phosphatase activity among surfactin supplemental groups(P>0.05).Levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol were firstly decreased and then increased, levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterolwerefirstly increased and then decreased with the dietary surfactin level increasing, andthe maximum of high density lipoprotein cholesterol and the minimum of total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol were all found in surfactin Ⅱ group.Levels of total cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein cholesterol in surfactin Ⅱ group were significantly decreased than those in kitasamycin supplemental group(P<0.05),and the level of high density lipoprotein cholesterol was significantly increased than that in kitasamycin supplemental group(P<0.05).It was concluded that surfactin could improve growth performance, serum lipid levels andnonspecific immunity. The recommended supplementation level of dietary surfactin was 100 mg/kg under present experimental condition. |
