New Maize Varieties (Lines) Of Resistance To Main Diseases In Anhui Province

The major diseases of corns grown in Anhui are stem rot,sheath blight,small spot disease and southern corn rust.Recently,with the improvements in cultivation condition and level,these diseases remain the most influential ones,especially for the corn yield.It has been proved by practice that cultivation and screening of disease-resistant varieties are the most efficient and economical ways to change the present condition.In order to put forward clearly the differences in resistance between varieties and provide guarantee to the safe production of corn in our province,I shall conduct study on the impact of artificial disease nursery method on qualification test of reported corn varieties,which by the way gives assessment to the resistant degrees of reported corn varieties respectively to the each diseases listed above.The results are as follows:1.Corn varieties resistant to stems rot: observing the results of identification of 568 kinds of varieties from 2012 to 2014,resistance level for resistance(R)and high resistance(HR)of varieties maintain a rising trend in the identification of whole varieties,respectively from 2012 to 2014 is 22.5%,40.2% and 48.5%;varieties of sensitivity(S)and high sensitivity(HS)shows a declined trend,respectively from 2012 to 2014 is 27.9%,20.6% and 14.8%.2.Corn varieties resistant to sheath blight: observing the results of identification of 636 kinds of varieties from 2011 to 2014,resistance level for resistance(R)and high resistance(HR)of varieties remain undiscovered,and middle resistance maintain an increasing trend in the identification of whole varieties,respectively from 2011 to 2014 is 22.06%,30.11%,46.8% and 56.83%;varieties of sensitivity(S)and high sensitivity(HS)shows a declined trend,respectively from 2011 to 2014 is 77.94%,69.9%,53.92% and 43.17%.3.Corn varieties resistant to Corn small spot disease: observing the results of identification of 696 kinds of varieties from 2010 to 2014,resistance level for resistance(R)and high resistance(HR)of varieties maintain a rising trend in the identification of whole varieties,respectively from 2010 to 2014 is 15%,11.76%,5.64%,28.43% and 29.49%;varieties of sensitivity(S)and high sensitivity(HS)shows a general declined trend,respectively from 2010 to 2014 is 41.67%,33.82%,41.94%,22.55%and 27.08%.4.Corn varieties resistant to southern corn rust: observing the results of identification of 696 kinds of varieties from 2010 to 2014,resistance degrees for resistance(R)and high resistance(HR)of varieties maintain a slightly rising trend in the identification of whole varieties,respectively from 2010 to 2014 is45%,51.45%,5.38%,49.02% and 45.85%;varieties of sensitivity(S)and high sensitivity(HS)shows a general declined trend,respectively from 2010 to 2014 is 30%,30.88%,47.31%,20.59% and 22.25%.
