Mountainous region in northern area of Hebei Province desertification degree is becoming more and more serious, the full play of ecosystem function is severely restricted by the phenomenon, natural vegetation restoration is an effective way to improve the ecosystem function. However, due to the low content of soil nutrients and moisture, the region less number of seeds and a single species in soil seed bank, so using artificial afforestation or cultivating measures it is difficult to accomplish the natural restoration of vegetation.Based on soil seed Banks of donated nearly natural vegetation recovery technology is based on giving the soil seed bank, in order to improve the soil seed Banks seed germination, and growth ability, is constituted by a series of technologies such as natural seed collecting and seed germination and growth substrate preparation, and germination protection. The technology to a greater degree of using similar adjacent region of natural seed bank, the renewal of the vegetation succession can be effectively guaranteed, and can realize nearly natural vegetation recovery, ensure that the genetic diversity. Therefore, this technology can overcome the desertification mountain less number of seeds in soil seed bank, moisture and nutrient deficiency of faults, so as to realize the desertification mountain near natural vegetation restoration, it has more obvious superiority and application prospect than artificial afforestation and natural recovery technique by cultivating measures.Therefore, desertification mountain is researched as the object in this article, in front of the understanding and mastery of vegetation restoration in arid mountainous soil seed bank and donor woodland soil seed Banks characteristics, physical and chemical properties of soil, and the ground vegetation conditions, on the basis of comparing the soil seed bank efficiency and cost of different ways of collecting soil, the seed germination matrix add types and proportions of woody plants, seeds, water retention agent and soil adhesive applying the content and the necessity of the protection measures, summed up the soil seed bank collection technique, seed germination matrix matching technology and seed germination protection technology, and using the technology of desertification mountain vegetation restoration after the benefit analysis, for reference of the near natural vegetation restoration of the degraded mountain and technical support, the main results were as follows:1. Relative to the artificial methods, collection of soil seed Banks of high efficiency and low cost. Collection of soil seed Banks of artificial collection efficiency for eight times, and the cost to 4.8 times lower than the artificial methods.2. Add water retention agent after vegetation biomass and the amount of woody plants were significantly higher than that of without adding water retention agent processing, with the increase of applying water retention agent content, vegetation biomass and woody plants significantly increased the number of seedlings. When applying water retention agent content reaches 250 kg/m3 enough water absorption of water retention agent, the most vegetation biomass and the amount of woody plants seedlings, but with the application of 200 kg/m3 of water retention agent was not significant difference between the processing. Suggests that adding 200 Kg per m3 to create enough water absorption of water retention agent can meet the needs of the plant seeds germination and growth.3. Without any protection measures to deal with the seedling survival rate is only 8.6%, most of the seedlings freeze to death, after turns the soil of woody plant seedling survival rate of 89%, 10 times is unprotected. To illustrate the necessity of the protection measures in overlying soil.4. Vegetation restoration after the planting area of the soil seed bank of species number 11, more than the recovery before the areas in the majority with perennial herbaceous plants. The similarity between soil seed Banks index return to 0.32, increased to 0.44 after recovery, similarity index has increased;5. After the ground vegetation in 2 kinds of evergreen trees and shrubs species, and increases the leguminous plants perennial herb and a biennial herb species increase obviously,; Similarity between the ground vegetation index of recovery before the areas is 0.30, recovery after planting area increased to 0.54;6. The soil water capacity increase, p H value is close to neutral, organic matter, total N, total p, total K and available nutrient content is almost the same change trend, in the 0 to 10 cm soil depth when content is higher, increase content decreased with soil depth, recovery after a recovery before the content of various physical and chemical properties were significantly increased.
