In the process of geotechnical engineering design,the Mohr-Coulomb model is widely used because of it has simple mechanical parameters and relatively close to the soil properties.In recent years,there are many models that are more suitable for soil properties,but the Mohr-Coulomb model has always been so widely used for a variety of reasons.This paper relies on the Hangzhou Zijin Road?purple tunnel entrance-zijinggang Interchange?upgrading project,based on FLAC3D5.0,analyze and compare of Mohr-Coulomb model and strain hardening softening model Mohr-Coulomb model.The aim of this paper is to find a constitutive model that can upgrade the Mohr-Coulomb model,to meet the requirements of precision of the results and uncomplication of measurements.This paper refers to the mechanical properties of clay in Hangzhou from related papers and from Hangzhou city of Zijin Road?purple tunnel entrance-zijinggang Interchange?upgrading project,and the parameters of clay in Hangzhou in the Mohr-Coulomb model and strain hardening/softening Mohr-Coulomb model are fitted.The results are compared with the lateral displacement monitoring and two constitutive models.Also,the excavation deformation of the strain hardening/softening Mohr-Coulomb model is analysed.It is concluded that the strain hardening/softening model Mohr-Coulomb model analysis results are more close to the actual shape variables and the parameters of clay in Hangzhou about the strain hardening/softening model Mohr-Coulomb model are given.It is also suggested that the strain hardening/softening Mohr-Coulomb model can be used instead of Mohr-Coulomb model if conditions permit.
