Fuze is a kind of control device or system that can take advantage of target and environmental information to explode or ignite the warhead charge in a predetermined condition.The shell or general projectile fragments which use millimeter wave distance measurement fuze,can be set to explode at optimal height that can be first obtained by the simulation test,which overcome the blind corner,increase the killing area and improve the power.In this paper,the research background and the domestic and foreign research situation of millimeter wave fuze is introduced and the advantages and disadvantages of frequency modulation continuous wave system are analyzed.By analyzing the fuze system are determined,and the parameters of the antenna,microwave circulator,mixer,the principle of range and velocity measurement of fuze radar using LMCW system,the system parameters of filter,power divider,IF amplifier are designed.After a simple analysis of the theoretical basis for substrate integrated waveguide technology and the system components,a variety of system components using the substrate integrated waveguide technology are simulated and designed and some parts were fabricated and tested.The simulation results and the measured results are compared,and the reasons for the differences are analyzed.The feasibility of the miniaturization and low cost fuze system based on substrate integrated waveguide technology is analyzed.In order to further complete the whole system,the work for preliminary experimental verification has been done.
