Electric Wheel(also known as in-wheel motor)is one of the key technologies of distributed electric drive,is an ideal structure for electric vehicle drive,and has broad research and development prospect and charm.The electric wheel demands high performance of the drive motor,promotes new structures and new concept motors.Based on the traditional hub motor,this paper designs a new two-stator permanent magnet motor.It takes advantage of the inner space of the electric wheel.It has higher power density and torque density without increasing the volume of the motor.It makes the electric wheel have high driving efficiently at wide speed and wide torque range,and meets the design requirements of electric wheel.The main research of this article is as follows:1 In order to realize the wide speed/torque adjustment range of electric wheel,it uses multi-column motor to achieve wide range high efficiency;In order to increase the power density of the electric wheel,the speed of the motor is the key.It uses the scheme and structure of high speed motor + reduction bearing integrated;the torque wave is reduced with a double stator motor.According to the performance requirement of the electric wheel,the permanent magnet brushless dc motor is used as the driving motor.According to the requirement of power and economy,the main technical parameters of driving motor are determined according to the condition of city cycle.2 According to the main technical indexes of electric wheel drive motor,the electromagnetic design of electric motor is designed.The main structure size of the motor is determined,the motor electromagnetic scheme is determined,including a groove cooperates,hall sensor space layout,permanent magnet material selection and optimization design,rotor slot shape design,etc.,the performance and load characteristics of motor is checked,the basic parameters of stator and rotor structure is determined.3 Using the finite element electromagnetic design software Ansoft 16,the finite element analysis and simulation of the electromagnetic field of the motor are carried out.The 2D model of the machine was established under Maxwell 2D module,and the static field and transient field of the double stator motor were analyzed.Static field verifies the rationality of the design of magnetic circuit,no-load transient field analysis of the counter electromotive force and magnetic chain harmonic,transient field validation motor electromagnetic torque,output power and so on can meet the specified requirements;The start-up process of the motor is analyzed,and the motor has a good starting and accelerating performance.Finally,the loss and efficiency of the motor are analyzed.4 In view of the electromagnetic scheme and structure of the double stator motor,the principle prototype processing scheme is developed and the prototype machine is tested.The test experiment of the torque fluctuation of the double stator motor is established,and the effect of the torque ripple of the double stator motor is verified.
