The Design Of X-ray Thickness Gauge Based On The Technology Of SCMs

The paper mainly presents electrical equipment of X-ray thickness gauge.Its key point is the detection and control on the voltage and current in X-ray tube.The article does deeply analysis on the way of control about high-voltage power supply of the X-ray tube at a constant value.The main part of the circuit with an integrated voltage regulator circuit and half-bridge inverter topology which takes MOSFETs as main modulation switches,offers highly stable voltage to post-stage power supply circuits of high-voltage DC power output and filament power supply.The inverter-ended output voltage level was enhanced obviously by the technology of high frequency transformer and bi-directional voltage-doubling rectification topology.This X-ray thickness gauge uses 2 STC12LV5408 AD SCMs as core control devices.One is used on the closed-loop control system of X-ray tube power supply,which regards STC12LV5408 AD SCM as the core control.Through the feedback control,the power supply system achieves the goal of controlling the voltage and current at a constant value.In order to acquire and gauge the signal of the thickness of plates actually,the detection system on thickness of plates uses the other STC12LV5408 AD SCM as the core control.The article uses the relationship between the metal thickness and X-ray to do the digitization handling,getting remarkable result through data interpolation and experiment.This detection system realizes the function on the display of the thickness data.And it also realizes the function that sends the thickness data to the host computer through mscomm technique.The project enhances the accuracy of the gauge of metal thickness about X-ray thickness gauge and this X-ray thickness gauge can measure various metal materials accurately.Thus the research has practical value of this project.
