Since the project general contracting mode is used and popularized in the field of construction in our country,many scholars from different angles made a lot of research and obtained great accomplishments,it has made great contributions for the promotion of total project contracting system healthy and orderly development.In recent years,because of simple and easy to organize and coordinate,facilitate control project time limit and the advantages of the investment,the total project contracted model has been more and more units and individuals in the field of construction recognized and accepted.Engineering general contracting project as a whole system,the successful completion of the construction project is the result of the joint efforts of the participating units,however,it is difficulty to exploit the advantages of the total project contract because the separation between design and construction process in the project.This paper in view of the current our country project general contracting mode of design and construction are isolated from each other "two sheet skin" state,which takes the system theory and the physical coupling theory as basic,and establishes sequential design process and construction process coordination model and the coupling degree model,system timing analysis and coupling of the design process and construction process.This paper in the system theory based on the analysis according to the characteristics of the design process and the construction process,the two sequence types were analyzed,to analysis and the sequential design process and construction process with the progressive time and parallel relationship,logical to undertake relationship.Through the establishment of the design process and the construction process of the timing model,it obtained in the system which side dominant,then it will be in order to control the degree of control of the conclusion of its role in the system.After that,the paper analyzes the system properties of the design process and construction process,which lays a theoretical foundation for the coupling research.By the theoretical analysis of the design and construction under the general contracting mode to construct index system of coupling relationship between design and construction under total project contracting mode.it is used that AHP and entropy weight method todetermine the weight of index and establish coupling degree calculation model,using the weight index as the data support to calculate the coupling degree.Then,a numerical example is given to verify the coupling idea of design and construction.In the end,according to the calculation and analysis of the coupling degree of design and construction,the coupling relationship of the design and construction are discussed from the construction unit,construction unit and design unit three party perspective,it is analyzed that the effects of the three party on the design and construction coupling.The concept of benign coupling is proposed,and the corresponding countermeasures and methods are put forward to strengthen the coupling relationship of the design and construction under the general contracting mode.
