The new concept double-rotor engine is a new engine configuration which come out under the condition that the tradition reciprocating piston engine is unable to meet the demand of the people. Compared with the tradition reciprocating piston engine, the new concept double-rotor engine has higher power density, less volume, the output torque is force couple, without side press. The paper dedicated in the research of the seal of the new concept engine, mainly studied the gas-leakage of the piston ring, the pressure of the side seal face oil-film and the mechanical property of the side cylinder liner. The main work of the paper are as follow:(1) The theoretical calculation model about the pressure of the gas-room between the piston ring group and the gas-leakage of the piston ring. By analyzing the pathways of the gas-leak, introducing appropriate simplifying assumptions, the theoretical calculation model about the pressure of the gas-room between the piston ring group and the gas-leakage of the piston ring is built. Besides, the influence to the gas-room pressure and piston ring gas-leakage comes from the engine's structure parameters and motion parameters. The calculation results shows that the influence comes from the opening gap of the piston ring is the most significant.(2) The modeling and analyzing of the pressure distribution of the oil-film between the rotor and side cylinder liner is completed. Taking the influence of the temperature into consideration, and introducing appropriate simplifying assumptions, the model about the pressure distribution of the oil-film of the side seal face is built. The model clear the connection during the pressure of the oil-film, the height of the oil-film and the radii. The calculation results show that when the height of the oil-film is too large, the pressure will sharp dropped.(3) The statics analysis and dynamic analysis based on ANSYS is done. Based on the force analysis of the side cylinder liner, we use the ANSYS which is a finite element analysis software to analyze the cylinder liner's maximal forced deformation and constrained modal. The result showed that the maximal forced deformation of the side cylinder liner is within the acceptable range, and the vibration characteristics is well, the side cylinder liner resonance will not occurred.
