After entering 21 century, with the continuous progress of the urbanization process, China's construction industry has entered a more stable development period. Schedule management is one of the three objectives of engineering project management, and it is an important guarantee for the realization of project benefits. Due to the project scale expands day by day, the current schedule management by the limitations of the traditional methods is facing more difficulties and many influence factors and problems is difficult to use traditional schedule management plan solve. Therefore, building information modeling(BIM) technology has become a new hot point in the research of the engineering project management. Using the characteristics of BIM, such as model visualization and the integration of project information data, the parties who participate in the project can achieve collaborative work and improve the level of schedule management.At present, in the project schedule management, due to the construction environment, the quality of workers, material transport and other factors, the schedule and the actual implementation of the site is often contradictory. In view of this problem, this paper proposed schedule optimization based on field, and based on the relevant theory of BIM technology to improve the existing schedule management measures, to establish a set of BIM based schedule management platform. This platform's data management system was based on IFC standard, and coupling BIM model and Kanban management system, in order to achieve 3D visualization of the schedule management. BIM model linked with the traditional progress management software, to achieve data transmission and sharing, while the implementation of the BIM model to modify the function of data driven model. The reliability prediction model of construction schedule was established by using the method of reliability theory. To solve the traditional schedule management methods rely on the management of engineering experience for future schedule of defects, and in view of the problems in the traditional schedule management in information transfer delay, and enhance the participants of project of interactive management, this paper introduced a new settlement mechanism to improve the treatment of construction problems. Finally, the paper combined with the actual case to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of BIM schedule management method and analyzed the existing problems.This paper which was based on field driven optimization schedule combined with the BIM technology, Kanban management technology and reliability prediction theory in the progress of the project management application and provided new methods and ideas for the future work of project schedule management.
