The Study On The Coastal Defense System In Shipu Harbor Basin And The Conservation Strategy Of Coastal Defense Heritage

Along with the constant improvement of China's heritage protection system and the development of the conservation practice, heritage protection awareness in our country become from "isolated/fragmented" to "integrated", and furthermore protection methods are from the "classification protection" to "integrated protection". In other words, heritage conservation pays more attention to "affiliation" between heritage elements, and pays attention to the characteristics of "regional", stressing on "regional cultural heritage" integrated protection.Once as a coastal defense town, Shipu owns an independent natural environment, has cultural characteristics. The coastal defense remaining have obvious characteristics of "regional".In order to protect this kind of historical and cultural value, this paper proposes a way of integrated protection strategy, which "comes from history, based on the present situation".The main content of this article have four parts.In the first part, it goes to study the heritage-process of the built environment of Shipu coastal built environment. Through a large amount of historical literature review, it carries out analysis of the formation of Shipu coastal defense system and its heritage-processing background. Based on the study of the evolution and historic link, it interprets the instinct logics of the integration of the Shipu coastal defense system.The Second part is to study the integrated construction of regional heritage. Based on the theory of the four-dimensional city, is to analyze the evolution reasons from two aspects: time and space to study. On the basis of the space-time evolution of coastaldefense system, it tries to find heritage prototype, providing historical basis for the overall protection.The third part is about the integrated conservation. Using the integrated method of the historic urban landscape(HUL), it tries to propose protection strategy based on the characteristics of the current situation.The fourth part is to study the unit conservation individually and their way of landscaping. Focusing on the characteristics of diversity and individuality of coastal defense heritages. Pointed to three coastal defense towns, the research puts forward heritage unit protection strategy on the basis of overall protection. And furthermore on the basis of the unit conserviaon idividually, a feasible way to study heritage landscaping,leading the adaptive reuse of the Shipu coastal defense heritage.
