In this paper, the research focused on anode of lithium-sulfur battery, respectively, using stabilized lithium mental powder (SLMP), hard carbon content and mesophase carbon micro beads (MCMB) as anode materials. In order to explore the best electrochemical performance and the proper content of carbon in the lithium powder, the negative electrode was prepared in the glove box and compared with the performance of the battery using ordinary lithium foil as cathode. The results show:(1)? Compared to the ordinary lithium foil battery, in the large current density, specific capacity increased by 200% with the use of SLMP to the anode of lithium sulfur battery; The first discharge specific capacity is 1132.3 mAh/g, the first charge discharge potential difference is reduced by 0.1V, and the reversibility is enhanced. In the constant current cycling performance, the specific capacity of SLMP battery in 50 cycles is higher and the curve decreased slowly at 200 mA/g, and is about two times of the ordinary lithium foil battery in 60 cycles at 1000mAh/g.(2)?The overcharge phenomenon disappeared in the first charge/discharge process when adding 10%,20% and 30% of hard carbon in SLMP. Especially, the capacity of the battery by adding 30% hard carbon is relatively high. The discharge specific capacity can up to 1300.9 mAh/g when adding 20% hard carbon. In the current density of 200 mA/g,500 mA/g and 1000 mA/g, cell cycle stability and specific capacity of battery adding 20% hard carbon have increased. When 40% hard carbon is added, the electrochemical performance of the battery is poor, which indicates that the hard carbon content is excessive.(3)?Compared with the pure SLMP battery, the rate performance of lithium sulfur battery with 20% MCMB is superior, the stability and specific capacity of the battery is increased. The capacity of battery with 20% MCMB has been improved in 80 cycles at 500mA/g, but the performance is poor at 1000mA/g.
