High-speed, high-precision, high-power, light structure, longevity life and flexible rotor is the development trend of modern high-speed rotating machinery. In order to acquire higher efficiency and reliability, flexible rotor was designed in most rotor systems nowadays. Flexible rotor is working at high rotating speed which make the synchronous vibration response larger, meanwhile the high rotating speed rotor system is more prone to stability problems which caused by the sub-synchronous vibration.One of the simplest and most efficient methods to solve the rotor vibration and instability problem is to optimize the support system. The steady and transient dynamics characteristic can be improved by using damping elastic support. Elastic supporting structure can effectively reduce rotor system critical speed, which can match the relative position of the critical speed and operating speed reasonably. Further more, damping can effectively suppress the synchronous vibration response and sub-synchronous instability and improve the stability of rotor system.In this paper, the main studying line is the technology of damping vibration reduction.Combined with the situation of scientific research experiment and engineering project practice during the period of graduate student, the following paper will carry out detailed analysis and introduction about the application of elastic damping support structures, damping seal structures and viscous dampers in rotor and chemical equipment vibration control.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1) Among the elastic damping supports, the Integral Squeeze Film Damper (ISFD), will be mainly introduced and analyzed in this paper. The new type of integral squeeze film damper which using innovative EDM manufacturing process is processed integrally. Compared with traditional SFD structures, this new type of ISFD not only has significantly difference in structure,but also has a series of advantages over the old SFD structures in suppress synchronous unbalance vibration response and improve the stability of rotor. So this paper set a separate chapter to fully introduce and analyze the ISFD's development background, structural features, structure type, and stability improvement mechanism, energy dissipation mechanisms, the key of design, practical application in engineering, advantages and disadvantages from nine aspects.(2) In order to exploring new ISFD elastic damping support structure on rotor vibration control, this paper proceeds from the simulation analysis, with Dyrobes rotor dynamics simulation software, the rigid support and elastic support under two different support structures were studied.This paper also simulated the effect law of mass distribution and cantilever length on both rotor system critical speed and rotor vibration control.This simulation can provide us theory guidance for the following experiment. Different structure parameter of S-type elastomer was studied and designed. The influence will be explored to the different structural parameters on the S-type elastic stiffness.And then four ISFD were designed and processed based on the real experimental conditions. The single-span cantilever rotor experiment,single span experiment and two-span N+1 support rotor experiment were designed.Through the experimental comparison of different support structureS, the experiment results verified that the ISFD elastic damp support have obvious advantages on rotor system vibration control over other support structures.(3) In this paper, a liquid hydrogen turbine pump was studied. This project is based on the structure stability analysis of front and back damping seal of centrifugal wheel.In view of the structural strength problems, Fluent was firstly used to calculated the pressure distribution in different seal structure, then calculated the stress intensity and deformation of labyrinth seal and hole-pattern damper seal under different conditions was calculated by ANSYS. Comparing and studying the strength of two types of sealing structures, as well as the different number of circumferential holes and different depth of holes of hole-pattern damper seal.(4) This paper introduces the damping vibration reduction technology and the structure and vibration reduction theory of viscous damper. For example of four engineering projects, the pipelines of heat exchanger, compressor and the low temperature methanol washing process were studied. This paper introduce the damper attenuation technology from pipeline parameter, vibration situation, pipeline modal analysis, pipeline vibration reason analysis, viscous damping simulation, damping attenuation scheme and the modification effect for damping vibration attenuation. It has been found that the damping attenuation technology can effectively control the vibration problem of petrochemical equipment. In this four projects, the effect of pipeline vibration suppress was significant, and the results received high praise from the users.
