A variety of electronic products and devices radiate electromagnetic waves,which would pollute the environment and endanger human health. The electromagnetic shielding has become an important issue of attention. In recent years, superconducting magnetic shielding technology has made many breakthroughs and high-temperature superconducting magnetic shielding technology has shown its great potential, and has achieved the application in many fields. Due to high-temperature superconductors can shield electromagnetic fields completely, it has the best results in static magnetic field and high frequency magnetic shield.This paper reviews the basic characteristics of high-temperature superconducting material, introduces the characteristics of electromagnetic shielding of high temperature superconducting material. A three-dimensional finite element method (FEM) analysis by Ansoft Maxwell 3D is performed to evaluate the magnetic characteristics of the hollow cylindrical shell immersed in a steady uniform magnetic field generating by the superconductor. The analysis is performed to investigate the potential of magnetic shielding of systems with the coil current aspect ratio exploiting the passive magnetic properties of high-temperature superconducting material YBCO. The results of simulation demonstrate the higher values of the magnetic field strength at higher coil current. The paper deals with the magnetic shielding efficiency of a hollow cylinder of superconducting material depending on the thickness and the height of the shield, the results of simulation show the thickness and the height of the shield have little effect. To study the effect of magnetic field frequency to shielding factor of superconducting hollow cylinder, the results of simulation indicate that superconducting magnetic shield has a good shielding effect in any frequency. Finally, to research the width, the depth and the direction of slits, found the lower shielding effectiveness at greater the width and the lower shielding effectiveness at greater the depth. The direction of slits perpendicular to the direction of magnetic field has greater shielding effectiveness to the parallel.To achieve the desired effect, we have to fully consider the width of shield, the depth of shield, the width of slits, the depth of slits, the direction of slits and the frequency of the applied magnetic field.Selecting the appropriate electromagnetic shielding programs to prevent electromagnetic radiation and electromagnetic interference, In order to protect national security, human health and security of personal information,which has a significant meaning to solve the problem of electromagnetic compatibility and radiation.
