With the rapid development of digital design and manufacturing technology, traditional inspection techniques have been difficult to meet the strict inspection requirements of aviation parts. Digital inspection technology based on MBD is the only way for the development of inspection technology. At present, the technology in our country is still in its early development stage, there are many problems in the process of application.This paper starts at the description of digital inspection technology based on MBD on the basis of research results at home and abroad on three coordinate measuring technologies and status of an aviation enterprise. A technology system of digital inspection technology based on MBD is established, and the key technologies of the system are analyzed. Then the thesis studies on the hole-series modular fixture positioning planning technology which is one key technology of the system. A mathematical model of the key technology based on genetic algorithm is established, and the specific operation steps of the genetic algorithm are designed. Thirdly, the thesis studies on the undeclared tolerance automatically added technology for inspection model which is another key technology. A tolerance database is set up by analyzing the data structure of linear dimension of general tolerance standard, and a solution to the key technology based on UG development is put forward. Lastly, a prototype system of digital inspection technology based on MBD, and the functions of the key technologies are implemented through programming. The feasibility and correctness of the method is validated by examples. The research results of this paper provide the basis for enterprises to establish their digital inspection system and improve inspection technologies, and also provide reference for the research of digital inspection field in the future.
