In this paper,the rheological properties including bulk rheology and surface dilational rheology were investigated.The foam properties were measured by Waring Blender method.Furthermore,a correlation between the rheological and foam properties were also discussed.The main contents and conclusions are listed below:Firstly,the surface dilational viscoelastic properties and foam properties of zwitterionic/anionic mixtures were studied.The influence of mole ratio and concentration on solution properties were expounded.It showed that the existence of synergy effect between these two surfactants in surface activity and foam properties,and the viscoelastic properties of the surface layer was altered,including a decrease in dilational elasticity and a stronger frequency dependence in dilational viscosity.The uniform correlation between surface dilational viscoelasticity and foam properties were not found,the variation of salt concentration in bulk solution could add up the complexity of the experiment results.Secondly,viscoelastic surfactant systems were prepared,and the bulk rheological and interfacial rheological properties and the corresponding foam properties were studied,also the relationship between the rheological and foam properties were discussed.The results indicated that the appearance of worm-like micelles result in the strong viscoelastic property of the bulk solution and the higher strength of surface layers.The elasticity of bulk solutions and the corresponding foam stability have a direct correlation,that is to say,the elasticity could be the main factor resulting in foam stability.Thirdly,the mixed surfactant-polymer solutions were prepared,and the bulk rheological and interfacial rheological properties and the corresponding foam properties were studied.It showed that the existence of polymers could add up the bulk viscosity,and result in the viscoelastic properties of solutions.The amphiphilic polymer could have a stronger effect on bulk viscosity,and lead to a transition between viscosity dominant to elasticity dominant.The surface dilational viscoelasticity could merely be the same for different polymers.The amphiphilic polymer could have a positive effect on foam stability,while the ordinary polymer may have a negative effect.There is a direct correlation between bulk elasticity and the corresponding foam stability for this kind of foaming solutions.
