As for the plastic products are using more widely day by day,injection molding is becoming more and more popular all over the world.China has become the largest market of injection industry,how to train professional technicians and predict the quality of injection molded parts with high quality and low cost has become an urgent demand for all plastic manufacturers and universities.Based on the requirements of the training as well as practical application,this paper proposes and designs a solution for the injection molding simulation system based on the Unity3D engine.According to every certain demand,the functional modules are designed,the overall architecture of the system is proposed,also the development process is clearly defined.In order to increase the injection molding simulation system's fidelity,openness,experience feeling and scalability,the author further explored on some related key technologies,including Blueprint framework technology inspired from Unreal Engine and state machine theory;open mould loading technology based on excel;the collision detection technology.In terms of increasing practicality of simulation system,the author works with HSCAE laboratory.Based on the HSCAE analysis module,two methods of obtaining simulation results of injection products in virtual simulation system are designed.One is setting the process parameters window,then interpolating of user input parameters to obtain the simulation result;the other is using the analysis interface directly provided by the HSCAE laboratory,after obtaining the results file,the author parse and read them into the Unity3D.Because of the CAE analysis module,the practicability of the simulation system is greatly improved.This paper also elaborated the realization process of the injection molding virtual simulation system,including 3D modeling and rendering based on modeling software and 3DsMax;construction process of each functional module;virtual control panel UI design process,all of above are written to increase the readers' cognition on the process of constructing a Unity3D simulation syste.The case demonstration in the final part can prove the effectiveness and availability of this injection molding simulation system.To sum up,the design and development of the whole injection molding simulation system conforms to the software design idea,which can be described as“meet users' needs firstly,draw a conceptual design secondly,use innovating technology thirdly and build whole software with code finally".
