The inclusions that are not removed in the molten steel will cause defects of slab quality to a large extent.The ascent and removal speed of inclusions determines its content in molten steel.It's necessary to study the floating speed of the terminal.The influence of shape correlation coefficients and the fractal dimension on the terminal rate was discussed and the fractal dimension of the particles was calculated.The floating speed of the terminal with different wetting angles and the sizes of particles were calculated by computer software.The stokes equations based on the correction of the wetting angle were obtained and verified by quadratic fitting.The results showed that the terminal velocity of inclusions was closely related to its fractal dimension.The trajectories of different inclusions were different.The more complex the edge was,the more curved the trajectory of the model was,especially the irregular inclusions.The floating trajectory was S-shaped in a cycle,and then continued to float repeating this law.The rank of different ship was early crystal silicon(3.5)>Cylinders(3.39)> Dendritic(2.49)> Cube(2.40)> Irregular(1.65)> Spherical(1.0),can be used as a particle floating to remove the difficulty of one of the factors.The larger the fractal dimension of cluster model was,the higher the particle velocity was.In addition,the smaller the wetting angle of the inclusions was,the more vertical the floated and removal trajectory of the fine inclusions were.On the contrary,the more curved the trajectory was.Under the condition of good wetting performance,with the increasing of wetting angle of particle,the terminal velocity of particles changed gradually with the size and changed abruptly when the particle diameter was about 150~160 ?m.Based on the terminal rate of different wetting balls,the traditional stokes equations were modified to obtain the modified particle floating formula.The results showed that the modified stokes equation had more than 95% of the terminal velocity were close to the experimental data which indicated that the modified stokes equation was reasonable.
